A poetry performer from kitara nation Mr. Meddie Nsubuga
And a performance from KS Reloaded Dancers
Ms. Maria and Mr. Moses from mental health focus Uganda talked about mental health and their main point was self-esteem. They chose volunteers from students with whom they asked what their talents were and what they knew and believed about themselves, this was more like confidence building. They went ahead to advise the students to be bold enough to take on opportunities that come before them, to stand out, speak up and to avoid situations and things that are most likely to put their mental health in a risky situation. These were accompanied by a number of illustrations and real life examples.
Mr. Mbaziira Bryan was the representative who spoke on behalf of Talent Walls. He introduced what Talent Walls is all about, its mission, vision, its programs and how they run. He encouraged the students to never give up on their talents. He used the informative word boards from talent walls to pass on some helpful information to the students. He called out a few volunteers from the students to select a word board, read out loud the message written on it and as-well explain to the rest what they understand by that message. All the volunteers gave right answers and so he just added on their particular submissions to make them understand more and more.
Mr. Adilu Geoffrey and Ms. Hope from Cyclops defense systems talked about security, its importance to the community and the whole nation at large. They informed the audience about Cyclops defense systems and what it ventures in which is security for people and their property. They went ahead to point out the various kinds of security which includes security guards, security items which include surveillance cameras, gun teasers and many others. They went ahead to ask the school if they do have fire extinguishers and if the students know how to use them. They as-well encouraged administration of Atlas High School to highly consider security of the school, its property, the students and their property as-well. They concluded by promising the school two fire extinguishers depending on how they were to later discuss and agree with the school administration.
The sessions were interactive, students were allowed to ask questions and as-well give submissions. At the end of all the sessions a number of students were selected to fill in the feedback forms about how the event turned out and what they learnt from the sessions.

The very last activity on the event was the panel selection. During this session the students were given a chance to come up on stage and give a performance according to their various talents. According to each category, the students were put up for a challenge where whoever won in their category was selected to be an ambassador or representative depending on their delivery. The selected ambassadors are the ones to represent their school in the various activities that Talent Walls will have in the future.
There was sabotage due to the rain. The event was initially outside but due to the rain, the event was put at a standstill so as to transfer it into a hall.
The students were not cooperative at the time of taking photos with the organizations and the talent walls team as they later had to be forced.
The school is looking forward to more educative talks from the organizations partnering with talent walls.
The talented students as well need help in nurturing their talents.
As Talent Walls we assessed the entire event and our assessment form is attached at the end of the report.
